Having a pandemic sweep the Earth is new territory for all of us. We’re all facing our own struggles with the impact of the COVID-19 Virus Pandemic. To help serve our community, Summit is providing essential cleaning services.
For one of our clients, Whiting Turner Contracting, we are providing post-constriction cleaning for the Children’s National Regional Medical Center. This job is especially important during this time because this hospital could possibly be used to assist in providing additional medical facilities to combat the Coronavirus, once it’s done. Summit cleaning techs are working diligently to assist the owners to complete this project in Lanham, Maryland.
Summit Building Services, Inc., is providing as many as 11 cleaning technicians per day to keep up with the cleanup process. A lot goes in to this clean up process. The interior and exterior windows need to be cleaned and the rubber roof membrane needs to be scrubbed and pressure washed. That’s just a small portion of what needs to be done. We also need to thoroughly clean:
- All the walls
- cabinets
- equipment
- floors
- restrooms
- ceiling
- light fixtures
- horizontal surfaces
- steps
- electrical rooms
- and power plant
Of course, we can’t write this post without talking about safety. We always require good disinfecting practices, but now our services require extra-attention, diligent, around-the-clock disinfecting. All touch spots and work areas are repeatedly wiped clean with a powerful disinfectant to protect all construction personnel.
